Leadership Skills: Intermediate
Lead people, not just a task: build trust, coach, motivate, and decide fairly.
What you'll learn
- โฆBuild a team's trust over months by staying consistent, keeping confidences and crediting fairly, then rebuild it once broken
- โฆInfluence a peer or senior without formal authority, by trading real value and staying consistent instead of pulling rank you don't have
- โฆTell influence and manipulation apart in a real situation, and choose the honest form even when it is slower
- โฆCoach a stuck teammate with genuinely open questions instead of rescuing them by doing the task yourself
- โฆJudge when to let a teammate struggle a bit longer and when to step in and help
- โฆDiagnose what actually motivates a specific teammate, find the real cause behind a motivation dip, and recognise effort as well as results
- โฆNotice your own reaction before you act, read what a teammate is not saying, and stay steady with someone who is upset
- โฆMake a fair, bias-checked call between two good people, and deliver a decision that disappoints someone with an honest reason
