Learners.Center ("we", "us", "our") is an educational platform operated by DreamyHook Digital Media. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Learners.Center you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- ✦Account information — your email address, and (optionally) your name and photo when you sign up or use Google sign-in.
- ✦Profile details you choose to add — headline, bio, location, role, education, and social links (e.g. GitHub, LinkedIn).
- ✦Learning data — courses started, lessons completed, quiz results, and your preferences (such as theme).
- ✦Learning insights — with your consent, how you engage with lessons (time spent, quiz answers, reading progress, and where you leave off). We use this to personalize your learning path and recommendations. It records your interactions, not the free text you type, and stays private to your account. You can turn it off any time in Settings.
- ✦Technical data — basic, standard logs needed to run and secure the service. We store progress and theme locally in your browser (localStorage).
How we use your information
We use your information to provide the service: to sign you in, save and sync your progress across devices, show your profile, and improve Learners.Center. We do not sell your personal information.
Where your data is stored
Authentication, database, and file storage are provided by Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage). Your data is processed on Google's infrastructure under their security and privacy terms. Each user can only read and write their own records, enforced by security rules.
Cookies & local storage
We use your browser's local storage to keep your progress and theme available offline and to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.
Your choices & rights
- ✦View and edit your profile any time from the Profile page.
- ✦Turn personalized learning insights on or off, and control community matching, from Settings. Turning insights off stops new collection and clears anything not yet synced.
- ✦Reset your learning progress from Settings.
- ✦Delete your account from Settings, which removes your profile and progress sync.
Children
Learners.Center is designed for beginners, including students. If you are below the age of digital consent in your country, please use the platform with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including owner-only access rules. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
